Iran Train Ticket
Traveling by train in Iran is the safest transportation.
There are 3 railway transportation companies: Raja, Safir Group (Bonrail, Nour, Rail Tarabar Saba, etc) and Rail Pardaz No Afarin (Fadak).
Raja is the first and largest company with the majority of trains and routes.
There are 3 classes of Special, grade 1 and grade 2 for all trains which are supplied in 4/6-bunk-bed self-contained compartments or public compartments.
Special cars like Zendegi, Nour, Ghazal Bonrail, Ghadir have modern facilities and nice restaurants.
The new 5-star Fadak trains have 3 classes (First, Business and Economy) serving passengers with European style catering and hosts/hostesses.
The routes are from north to south, north to west, and north to east. Train routes are not developed as much as bus routes, as a result, fewer cities are connected via railways.
The main hub for railway routes is Tehran. Via Tehran, you can go to the main cities of Yazd, Shiraz, Isfahan, Kerman, Ahvaz, Mashhad, Sari, Kashan, Tabriz, and Bandar Abbas.
Due to the high demand for train tickets in Iran especially in high seasons you need to book at least 1 month earlier than your appointed date.
